Dr. David Wilton
Dr. David Wilton brings a wealth of experience in leading Quality Improvement and large-scale health system change to his role as director of clinical innovation at Livecare. Dr. Wilton completed his medical undergraduate training at the University of Western Ontario. He received his CCFP after completing his residency training at the University of British Columbia.
Dr. Wilton has assumed many leadership positions throughout his career in Medicine. Dr. Wilton is currently the medical director of the Hospitalist program at the Vancouver General Hospital. In 2005, Dr. Wilton was elected the president of the Canadian Society of Hospital Medicine. In this role he has overseen the maturation of the society as an organization and has provided leadership in shaping the specialty of hospital medicine in Canada.
As a clinical advisor to the BC Patient Safety and Quality Council, an elected director of the BCMA and an invited participant on the Shared Care Committee, Dr. Wilton has had the opportunity to continue to have a positive influence on health policy and Quality Improvement in BC. Dr. Wilton looks forward to the opportunity to lead change and pursue excellence in healthcare delivery as a member of the Livecare physician network.
