Dr. Boxtart has served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors for 6 years, 3 of those as the Chairman of the Board. He received the Dr. Verna Hunt Award for his service to the profession and held Adjunct Faculty of Medicine positions with the University of Northern British Columbia’s Northern Medical Program introducing new students to medical sociolo-gy and Naturopathic Medicine. Dr. Boxtart remains a speaker at the UNBC Northern Medical Program.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Boxtart is currently the Team Lead for British Columbia for the Pure North S’Energy Foundation. In this capacity, Dr. Boxtart supervises medical, para-medical and support staff providing care for approximately 8,000 patients across British Columbia.

Medically supervised weight loss and bariatric patient management:
Dr. Boxtart has seen thousands of weight loss patients over his 12 years of practice. He utilizes several approaches depending on patient need, preference and pre-existing medical conditions. Dr. Boxtart is a member of the Canadian Obesity Network and incorporates their best practices guidelines. He also has experience with management of patients that have had a variety of bariatric interventions including gastric bypass and lap band.
Sports medicine and rehabilitation:
Dr. Boxtart utilizes both standard and PRP Platelet Prolotherapy in the treatment of acute and chronic injuries, coordinating patient care with physiotherapists, chiropractors and physi-cians. For athletes, he has developed intravenous nutraceutical interventions used in the areas of acute injury recovery and over-training syndrome.
